ARRRRGH.
This is the second time that I have tried to write a post and after spending over an hour writing, it ate my post. One stray keystroke and all of a sudden I saw a blank screen staring at me.
Blogger says that it saves drafts.
HA! Don't believe it. Blogger lies.
I do not have time to create a thoughtful post with the time remaining for today, so instead I shall simply wish Charlemagne a happy birthday. April 2, 742 is said to be the day of his birth although the year is in dispute. (Tell me a fact in history that is not in dispute).
Anyway, if we go by that date, Charlemagne would be celebrating his 1,266th birthday today.
That is older than Methuselah.
I shall try again on another day to re-create the thoughts I composed earlier today.
Until then, be well and better luck with your blogging!
Linda

Ouch, that sucks.
I always write my blogposts in Winword and copy/paste them. The Blogger window does tend to reset one time too often when you write a long post in there.
Gabriele,
The difficulty comes in when you want to use hyperlinks and photos. It becomes more complicated, and well...today I tried again and I did my draft in Word and then did a cut and paste and added the bells and whistles.
I tried to do something new and add a map. I even used Google maps so that it would work well with Blogger. Eh, not so much. As soon as I hit publish it ate my post.
I had to reconstruct things *again*.
At least now I have a new post, even though it in no way resembles the two previous travel related posts I had written that were eaten by Blogger.
Those will be done another day.
Be well,
Linda
Linda! I've been thinking about you and your quest for November. I hope all is going well for you. Yes, it is Cara from Ottawa. I've been following your blog on Bloglines but thought I should really let you know that I am. Hope you're well. C
Cara!
It's been ages since we've corresponded. Far too long. I'll have to send you an email later today when I'm not quite so busy.
I hope all is well "up there."
Hugs,
Linda
Lol, I forgot not everyone writes posts in html code. I could even use my editor program for that, but what little code actually goes into a blogpost I can manage without the preview control.
