The entire cast was honored to have you grace us with your presence and feedback. (Well, maybe with the notable exception of the boy who played "Beak" because he was too young to understand the significance of your visit.)

See? Even after all these years I remember most of the character names.

I love that play, and it happens to be the last time I was in a theatrical production. Time constraints on my part have kept me from doing any auditions since I fully understand how much time is involved in the pre-production as well as the performances of any play.

I specifically remember one of the comments you made to me that night. It dealt with the line about Diet Coke. I had no idea why it was there and so I gave it a reading reflecting my own personal preference on diet pop. As in, I dislike the tinny after-taste and so I read the line, "Does anyone want any one? It's not diet" as if that were a positive selling point rather than a complaint.

Please forgive me if I got the line wrong, that's as best as I can remember lo these many years later.

I also remember gently correcting me about how I played Stephanie's interaction with her grandmother because some of my lines were said with a bit of disrespect towards her. I was projecting some of my own teenageresque attitude at the time and then pulled back due to your suggestion. Afterall, I was trying to personify what was in your imagination and so I did my best to defer to your direction.

Thank you for stopping by on my blog and for leaving a comment. I feel honored.

LindaLinda C. He never is sad about anything, he is in the Depths of Despair. There isn't anything that disappoints him, no he is Despondant and has Given Up the Will to Live.

I just have to bear him in mind as I write my epic story because they are characters larger than life that do not experience small emotions either. Think bold, think large, think Colorful Dramatic Choices. Yup, my son's over the top reactions to getting hangnails is something that inspires my fiction.

In answer to your question about Air France...no we did not have any problems with strikes. We flew Continental and were in France during the month of September. We were afraid of national strikes that we knew would be inevitable once Sarkozy announced he was going to overhaul social programs. We were assured that transportation strikes wouldn't happen until October. Thankfully we were back home once they started.

LindaLinda C. I look forward to seeing more of your trip to France, we too just returned and I am slowly but surely writing down some of the magic we experienced. I hope you were not in the Air France strike?!! We were! Amsterdam was the silver lining of that story!!!Leahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07101643429585271655noreply@blogger.com
